Plot
A bewitched Agatha Harkness regains her freedom with the help of a teenager. Intrigued by his request, she sets out on the Witches Road trials to regain her powers and discover the teenager’s motivations. Stars Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Debra Jo Rupp and Ali Ann, along with showrunner Jac Schaeffer and executive producer Mary Livanos, share how they prepared for the Marvel series. The exterior scenes of Westview were filmed on Blondie Street at Warner Bros.

Agatha lives in a house used in the TV series Bewitched (1964). Mentioned in WatchMojo: Top 10 Most Shocking Disney Plus Day Reveals (2021). I came to Agatha All Along with no preconceptions or any background knowledge. So it wasn’t until I was deep into it and watched Episode 6 (?) that I realized it had a connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe – specifically WandaVision.
I felt cheated and annoyed
Well, after getting engaged to Agatha All Along, I stopped it and had to watch WandaVision. While WandaVision does have a key element as an Agatha All Along story, it’s pretty peripheral (and – in my opinion – significantly worse than Agatha All Along). Well, I finished E6 and then dove into E7-E9 and I really have to give this show credit. The acting is excellent throughout, and Hahn stands out as Agatha.
The writing has an unusual, original perspective as the show progresses
Above all, the trials the characters go through and their development are well done. The show maintains an engaging, adult storyline, without the typical sugarcoating where everyone ends up happy in the end. While I don’t think the connection to the MCU was necessary, it is what it is. And it doesn’t distract from the show as a whole too much.
